Staying grounded
Quote from craftqueen1987 on November 11, 2021, 1:42 amyeah totally. im busted after just three days of lecture. my lower back is screaming and i can barely lift my toddler. i just drink cold water, eat whatever is nearby and crash as soon as the kids go down. no fancy routines for me. just survival mode until the weekend hits. hope u get some rest soon because this semester is gonna drag.

Quote from Brenda1982 on October 13, 2021, 5:50 amsame here honestly. Ngl, i keep blaming it on getting older but my pms has been straight up weird lately. bloated as hell and tired af even after sleeping. i finally went to the doc and got my thyroid checked too. turns out my levels were kinda off. might wanna just get checked out tho bc hormones can be wild at this age. dont just assume its aging.

Quote from Quietstorm1965 on October 11, 2021, 4:07 amugh tell me about it. I swear, i cant even sit down right bc my quads are screaming. took me three days to walk down the stairs after my last session and even that was a struggle. i just layed in bed and stared at the ceiling while my legs shook. but hey at least we look good doing it, right? ugh. seriously though hope it goes away by tomorrow.

Quote from Finridge on November 29, 2021, 9:48 pmi drink a cup of nettle tea before bed and keep my room pitch black. also stop scrolling right before sleep, the blue light messes with your rest. i noticed once i stopped eating heavy meals late at night, i wake up way more refreshed. try drinking a big glass of water first thing in the morning too, dehydration hides as fatigue sometimes.

Quote from Mountainmom1978 on May 21, 2021, 10:44 pmHonestly same here. My guy works long hours too and comes home completely drained. I learned to just not make it a big deal. Sometimes we cuddle and call it a day. Other times he showers and we try later when hes a bit more rested. Just accept it and focus on other ways to connect like cooks dinner together or watching a show. No pressure is key for us.

Quote from Becky1992 on March 22, 2021, 2:19 pmMy husband used to think that was plenty till I started scheduling other things. Now we do it twice a week or he gets left out. Not trying to be mean but if you dont prioritize it he will assume its low priority to you too. Communication is key, even if it feels awkward at first. Just set the expectation early.

Quote from Goldenheart1975 on December 20, 2021, 6:53 ami usually just stop talking. Honestly, him calling me sensitive is classic gaslighting. i walk away and let him sit in that energy. my spirit cant be drained by that nonsense. ur feelings are valid. dont let him rewrite ur reality. sometimes the best revenge is doing nothing and letting him feel the weight of his own words. stay grounded sis.

Quote from Bronzebeat on February 1, 2021, 3:53 amSame here basically. Just moved for my husbands deployment this month. Doc says labs are perfect but i am dragging all day. I ended up checking my iron and vits too. Low iron was part of it. Also just standard military life burnout. Try adding straight iron supplements if you havent. Helps a bit at least until we settle in new base housing. Good luck

Quote from Softspirit on November 28, 2022, 5:58 amim 68 and honestly dont care if it is boring as long as it works. i just put on my podcasts and march in place for 30 mins. keeps the heart happy. its not glamorous but i dont get bored because im listening to stories instead. focus on the audio not the movement. thats my secret.
