Quote from nora1968 on July 5, 2022, 1:55 amI get it. At 47, i assumed sleep was free but it really ain’t. I cut coffee after 10am and started taking magnesium before bed. Also checking my iron levels. Sometimes it’s just bad habits. Try going to bed 30 mins earlier and no phone in bed. Just straight sleep.

Quote from Redrose1991 on May 17, 2022, 9:17 ami started walking in flip flops one summer and low back pain hit. switched to actual walking shoes with arch support and it stopped. also my old yorkie pulls like crazy so i got a harness instead of a collar. changed my walking spot to the flat park path instead of the hilly neighborhood streets. sometimes its just the shoes or the terrain being too uneven. hope that helps.

Quote from Serenegarnet on March 31, 2022, 10:13 amI walked away from the gym too. Water retention and cortisol are real messes. I started doing yoga in my living room instead. No mirrors, no scales, just moving. It took months to feel normal again. Your body is stressed, not broken. Give it peace, not punishment. Focus on how you sleep and eat. The weight will sort itself out when you stop fighting it.

Quote from Softloch on March 20, 2022, 2:39 amim sitting on my couch in apt refusing to move. it’s pouring rain outside and i’m just exhausted from existing. my anxiety is doing that thing where it makes every little thing feel heavy so walking 10k feels like a chore i didn’t sign up for. i’d rather just lay here and doomscroll until my eyes hurt. honestly i think i’ll just do 2k and call it a day because my brain is fried and i can’t deal with the pressure right now.

Quote from Joan1989 on October 22, 2022, 3:44 pmI just wear oversized hoodies everywhere. Gym included. If they staring its their problem not mine. I focus on my playlist and ignore the mirrors completely. Sometimes I bring a big bag to cover the reflection too. Honestly why do men even look in mirrors while lifting? Weird. Just keep your head down and do your thing. Their business is none of mine.

Quote from Marilyn1998 on July 14, 2022, 8:10 pmMan that is rough. Honestly we do a chore chart every Sunday night. Pretty much treats it like work shifts. He got the evening shift until 8 then I take over. It ain't always perfect but it helps split the mental load. If he ghosts his shift we talk about it the next day no yelling just facts. You gotta set boundaries early or it never changes.

Quote from Janice1994 on November 12, 2022, 12:14 pmTotally feel this. I work in IT so I spend all day glued to screens anyway. Gym is just another isolating activity for me. I go to my local place near the office, grab a squat rack, listen to a podcast while lifting, then leave. No eye contact, no small talk. It’s efficient but yeah, super lonely. I usually just text my hype girl before and after. We don’t even workout together, just vent about heavy sets.
