nope not worth the extreme soreness but totally worth the strength gains. i lift four times a week mostly compound movements. yes it hurts for a day or two after back day but you get so strong so fast. the mirror dont lie when you see those shoulders pop out. just push through the initial discomfort. its temporary but the results stay. keep lifting sisters.

fr though i see why you’re mad tbh. Lol, i turned twenty and he bought me those overpriced candles instead of the matcha kit i literally printed out and emailed him. i didn’t make a huge deal of it, but my internal monologue was screaming. it’s not the gift, it’s the fact that he keeps missing the small things that actually make me feel seen. ugh.

Honestly same here. Tbh, I used to force myself to meditate for twenty minutes every morning and it just felt like another item on my to, do list. Now I just read one chapter of a book before bed. No pressure, no timer, just me and the story. If I miss a night, I dont sweat it. It stopped feeling like a chore once I stopped treating it like a performance and just kept it ridiculously low stakes.

yup same. i do high impact stuff so my knees are basically shot. after sunday service i literally have to ice them for an hour straight. it sucks but hey, pain is temporary right. just keep moving and take some ibuprofen if you have to. dont let it stop you from hitting the gym tomorrow. we got this.

ugh seriously my husband did the exact same thing last week after we moved to germany. Honestly, i told him to take a hike because his mum lives three time zones away and i am not her. i cook what i want what happens and if he doesnt like it he can figure it out himself. honestly the constant moving makes me too tired to stress over replicating some random meal his brain is fixated on anyway. just keep doing you.

Honestly same. I stopped trying to force the whole sanctuary vibe and just do five mins of stretching while my niece naps nearby. No chanting, no candles, just breathing. If I miss a day, I don't guilt trip myself. Sometimes spirituality is just showing up tired and dealing with it. Keep it simple sis, your soul gets it.

same here. i stretch every nite but my hamstrings are rock. it’s wild how fast the body changes. i just accept it now and focus on keeping my back loose so i dont hurt myself. 45 feels young but the joints say otherwise. at least mine still work lol.

Yeah it is. My brain feels like scrambled eggs most days. Ill forget why i walked into a room or leave keys in weird places. Im a runner so i try to clear my head with hard workouts but honestly its just chaos. You do what you can and accept the mess. Dont stress over the little stuff none of it matters anyway. Just keep going.

Yeah honestly. Hubby snores so loud i just give up after a while. We make out sometimes but that is about it. I think at our age it just is not the main event anymore. We hold hands and watch tv which is nice enough. Dont stress about it. My body just aches too much for anything wild.

I moved my shower time to early morning. By the time he’s done his long ritual I’ve already finished mine and started getting ready for the day. It stopped the waiting game completely. I just had to accept that’s how he takes care of himself and adjust my schedule around it. Works for now since we both get what we need without the passive aggression over the bathroom.
