Honestly same. I gave up on all the fancy plans. Just walk after dinner with my husband and do squats while watching TV in Arabic. No gym, no protein shakes, no counting calories. My back hurts less and that is enough. We immigrants have enough stress without worrying about core strength tips. Keep it simple or go crazy.

Honestly I just stopped caring about the scale. At 48 divorce was hard enough, didnt need to add body shaming to the plate. I gym to keep my joints happy and clear my head. If I skip a week, so be it. I walk my dog daily and lift light weights twice a week. Consistency over intensity for me now. Just doing what feels manageable keeps me from burning out.

That sounds like a lot of work. I keep my husband happy on weekends so I can sleep in during the week. We also have kids so weekends are basically for family time anyway. If he wants that much energy maybe he can focus on his own hobbies. Honestly I just want to rest too. My body gets tired from work and looking after the house.

honestly i just ignore the suck. ive been lifting alone for two years now since the divorce. some days i barely survive the set but i show up anyway. my knees hurt and i feel like a grandma but seeing the weight go up keeps me sane. its not about being strong its about doing it when you dont want to. thats the only win that matters right now.

i relate. i used to think i was lazy until i realized i was just burnt out from people pleasing. now i say no to extra work and stop cooking when i dont have the energy. take a nap buy takeout it is not a moral failing. you are human

nah its just gravity winning lol. im 38 and my back hurts every morning after coding. eye drops are basically my new skincare routine. used to think sleep was for weak nerds now i need 8 hours or i crash. doesnt feel fast just inevitable. just drink more water and stretch i guess. no big deal really

Honestly that’s just rude. I swear, My husband says the same sometimes bc my mom was a different era. I just tell him to stop comparing. I cook what tastes good to me now. Sometimes it’s simpler. If he doesn’t like it he can make it himself. Seriously don’t let it get to you.

I just put my headphones on and ignore it. Honestly half those people are probably looking at themselves anyway I do my thing and leave. I’ve been in three different bases so far this year so im used to feeling like the new kid everywhere. Just focus on your workout and try not to overthink it. People are usually more concerned with their own appearance than yours.

idk if itll help but i sleep with my window cracked and a fan pointing directly at my feet. also iced matcha instead of coffee helps me chill out before bed. its brutal rn though. my upstairs apartment is basically a sauna. just trying to survive until fall. hope u manage to get some rest.
