Quote from spindlegrind on January 22, 2024, 12:11 ami just ignore it. For real, i put my headphones in and blast music so loud i cant hear anything anyway. if someone is staring, theyre probably just checking form or being rude. doesnt matter. i go there to lift heavy things and leave. i dont care who sees me. just keep lifting and focus on your own workout. dont let strangers ruin your vibe.

Quote from Brittany1996 on April 13, 2024, 4:53 amhonestly I tell him straight up that I dont need those details. I swear, if he keeps bringing her name up I just stop listening and change the topic. you dont get paid to hear about his past drama so dont let him dump it on you. keep it light and make him focus on us. if he cant let go maybe he should be talking to his shrink not you. simple as that.

Quote from HappyCove on March 13, 2024, 1:35 pmSach? I miss it too. In India we say marriage is long, but first year was pure magic. Now? Just bills and Kids ka homework. My husband is like roommate now. No dates, just grocery runs. I make effort to dress up sometimes just for me tho. Small things like coffee date without kids helps. We try Sunday breakfast out once a month. It keeps something alive tbh.

Quote from violettone on March 25, 2024, 12:13 amI walked away from the gym too. Water retention and cortisol are real messes. I started doing yoga in my living room instead. No mirrors, no scales, just moving. It took months to feel normal again. Your body is stressed, not broken. Give it peace, not punishment. Focus on how you sleep and eat. The weight will sort itself out when you stop fighting it.

Quote from Betty2000 on May 1, 2024, 2:18 pmi just walk everywhere. no matter where we live, i get outside. sometimes it’s snow, sometimes heat, doesn’t matter. i stretch on the porch before coffee. it keeps my joints loose. i don’t need a gym membership that expires every time we pack up. my body is my home too, so i treat it with respect daily. simple movements count more than fancy routines.

Quote from fiona1973 on April 29, 2024, 9:23 amnah i would just tell her straight up. I swear, tell her its not our culture or tradition here. we don't do that kind of stuff in the house. its confusing for my kids too. just say no politely but firmly. dont let her push it. keep the space yours. if she keeps it up ask her to do it at her place or temple. boundary setting is key fam.

Quote from indigobrass on July 13, 2024, 6:46 amhonestly same. lately i just do the bare minimum. light one candle, sit outside for 10 mins, breathe. thats it. no crystals no journals no rituals. my ancestors didn’t need apps to find peace. i’m tired too so i’m resting not performing spirituality. let it rest.

Quote from Calm1976 on October 2, 2024, 12:36 pmi tell him if he wants it done his way he do it himself. we sit down and split chores right down the middle. no thank yous just duty. if i cook he cleans. if i fold he loads laundry. stop treating him like a guest. he lives here too. my tribal ways teach balance so i enforce it. if he complains i let him complain while i relax. his loss.

Quote from Debra1966 on January 11, 2024, 7:04 pmhonestly yeah its normal. my husband does this all the time. he just needs space to recharge without talking. i figured it out early so now i just let him be. go do my own thing while he sits in his cave. once he comes out he talks again. dont take it personal. its just how he processes stuff. works for us.

Quote from Marie1993 on January 11, 2024, 7:04 pmomg same. just sit cross legged on a folded blanket instead of floor. keeps hips higher so less pressure on tailbone. i use old yoga mats cut up as extra cushions too. dont force posture if pain is there. just breathe and let body find comfort wherever that is today. sometimes less is more tbh.
