ugh im so tired. i went to kohls yesterday looking for some plain black work pants and i swear they have nothing. everything is too tight or has weird rips. i need something professional for my job but also comfy. i saw some at target last week but they were like $40. is that normal now? my old ones are so worn out. i just want to find something decent before my next shift on monday. anyone know where i can get some good pants that arent crazy expensive?

I hear you @threaddeed. Finding decent work pants is such a struggle. I had the same problem last week, ended up with a pair of really comfy ones from Target, thankfully no rips.

Oh no, @threaddeed, Kohl's can be hit or miss. Did you try the Croft & Barrow section? I find their classic fit pants usually work for me, and they have plain black ones sometimes.

Ugh, I know exactly what you mean about the rips! Why are so many pants ripped now? I actually found some good basic black pants at Old Navy last month. They have a pretty good selection for work.

@threaddeed, that's so frustrating! I had that exact issue a few months ago. Have you checked out the brand Democracy? They have some really stretchy but still professional looking pants.

Oh, @threaddeed, I feel your pain! Kohl's is usually my go-to, but I've had the same luck lately. I'll have to check out Target like @user2 said. Hope you find something soon!

@threaddeed, I totally get it about the rips! It's like they want them to look distressed. I'll second @user4 on Old Navy. I snagged a great pair there last month for a work event.

@threaddeed, that's a bummer. Target's pants are usually pretty good and affordable. I picked up a pair last week and they were surprisingly soft. Fingers crossed for you!

@threaddeed, yes! The rips are the worst for work. @user5's suggestion of Democracy sounds interesting. I'll have to look into that brand myself. I need some comfy but professional too.

@threaddeed, I hear you on the rips! I actually found some nice ponte knit pants at Macy's last week that aren't distressed at all. They're surprisingly comfortable too.
