need help with this stupid kid thing

seriously, is anyone else dealing with this? my son, he’s seven, is just obsessed with these little plastic figures called Gloomies or something. i went to Fred Meyer yesterday, spent $40 on two packs, and he cried because it wasn’t the right one. then i checked Amazon, they’re sold out. my husband thinks i’m overreacting, but it’s like a daily battle. i just want one peaceful morning. does anyone know where i can find these things cheap before i lose my mind?

Ugh, Gloomies? My daughter is into those too! We just got back from Target and I swear they’re everywhere. $40 is a lot for little plastic things, I feel you.

@hollowtoken I know exactly what you mean. My nephew is the same way with these Gloomies. He got two for his birthday and now he talks about them nonstop. We’re trying to limit his screen time, maybe that’s why?

Oh boy, Gloomies. My son is 7 too and he’s got a whole shoebox full. I thought it was just him being a boy. We went to the dollar store and found some, maybe that’s a cheaper alternative?

@hollowtoken Totally dealing with it. My niece is obsessed. I saw them at Walmart yesterday, they had a whole display. Good luck with the pac thing, hope you found what you needed.

OMG, $40 for two little things? My son has a shoebox full too. I found some at the dollar store that look pretty similar, maybe worth a shot.

@hollowtoken I feel you on the cost. My daughter is also into Gloomies. It's crazy how much they cost for just plastic. I saw a big display at Walmart the other day.

My nephew is the same way with these Gloomies. He got two for his birthday and now he won't stop talking about them. We're trying to cut down screen time so maybe that's why.

Seriously, @hollowtoken, my niece is obsessed. I saw them at Target and nearly gagged at the price. Good luck with getting those pac things. Hope they weren't too expensive.

@hollowtoken Ugh, I know! My son is 7 and has a shoebox overflowing too. The dollar store ones really do look just as good, and way cheaper. Hope you found some.
