my husband wants to have sex every night and i just want to sleep
Quote from Ashforge on December 1, 2024, 7:18 amnah that sounds like he’s just trying to get away with being rude. i just tell my partner straight up that his tone is disrespectful and i won’t tolerate it. if he gets defensive then i know he’s not listening. i walk away until he can speak to me with basic respect. you’re not too sensitive for wanting to be treated right.

Quote from Warm1989 on September 17, 2024, 3:17 pmHonestly same here. I used to force myself to meditate for twenty minutes every morning and it just felt like another item on my to, do list. Now I just read one chapter of a book before bed. No pressure, no timer, just me and the story. If I miss a night, I dont sweat it. It stopped feeling like a chore once I stopped treating it like a performance and just kept it ridiculously low stakes.

Quote from Blushdream on September 13, 2024, 4:54 pmSame here. My ex wanted nonstop. Now I’m single and if a guy asks for more than once a week I’m out. I spend my free time napping, reading, or drinking wine on the patio. Zero sex drive since the divorce. If he’s tired he can go sleep. I had enough of being someone’s hobby. This peace is worth more than any hookup. Just let him figure it out.

Quote from karen1973 on April 5, 2024, 1:12 pmHonestly yes. I immigrated here ten years ago and still hate treadmills. My wife makes me do 30 mins but I look forward to it like going to dentist. After 20 mins my legs are jelly. Maybe try walking on incline first. Or just walk outside in neighborhood. Less boring anyway. We are all tired from life already dont push too hard.

Quote from Peachy1983 on December 20, 2024, 4:44 amNot weird at all. I miss making his coffee and folding his shirts way more than I miss the actual relationship. The drama was exhausting. The routine was peaceful. I still wake up reaching for the iron sometimes. It’s just quieter now. I’m learning to be okay with my own company instead of filling the space with someone else’s nonsense. It takes time but the calm is worth it.

Quote from WildDusk on April 26, 2024, 9:36 pmAura is just a fancy word for burnout. I stare at my spreadsheet at 7pm and feel like a ghost haunting my own kitchen. Sleep helps. Also eating something that isnt granola. If you cant look in the mirror without screaming maybe take the day off. Work does not care if you glow.

Quote from Tinlakeside on July 6, 2024, 1:59 amnah its not weird at all. Ngl, i just broke up too and weirdly i miss cooking dinner and doing laundry more than seeing his face. being busy keeps me sane so now im just lost in the quiet. i spend my days running and lifting to get the stress out. it sucks but at least i have control over my routine now. its weird how much you take for granted until its gone.

Quote from Jennifer1995 on November 9, 2024, 2:41 pmso i just stop engaging with the games entirely. if he wants to play hard to get, he gets radio silence until he acts like a normal human being. im not here to negotiate basic decency or decode mixed signals for fun. you deserve clarity not a puzzle. if he cant give you that straightforward affection, keep his distance. seriously.

Quote from Boldriver2003 on May 7, 2024, 12:09 amHe’s projecting. When my ex did that, i stopped trying to read his mind. I just kept doing my thing. If he wants to talk, great. If not, i’m not gonna sit here anxious while he ignores me. You teach kids all day, you have enough emotional labor to do. Don’t give your energy away to someone who isn’t showing up. Just focus on your own routine and see if he steps up.
