Quote from Madison1997 on February 26, 2026, 11:03 amhonestly i stopped trying to force myself to the gym. it just wasn working for me. now i just do 20 mins of yoga on my living room rug when i have time. some days i skip it and thats ok. no guilt. just moving my body because it feels good, not because some schedule says i should. keep it simple and dont beat yourself up over missing a day.

Quote from moonhoar on May 16, 2025, 11:59 amyeah it is. i’m biracial from chicago and i hate the gym bc it feels so performative. i just do yoga at home listening to hyperpop playlists now. sometimes i skip it entirely bc my anxiety about doing it right paralyzes me. honestly walking around the l loop in my winter coat feels like enough movement for me right now. no shame.

Quote from Melissa1967 on August 19, 2025, 6:52 amI stopped playing detective when he started requesting space. If he needs to breathe he can do it outside our home. I packed his favorite mug and moved it to the shelf. Then I ordered takeout and watched a movie without checking my phone every five minutes. Peace is expensive but cheaper than anxiety. Now he texts me asking if we are okay. I just sent a thumbs up emoji and went back to work.

Quote from sageloom on August 11, 2026, 2:00 pmMy husband used to think that was plenty till I started scheduling other things. Now we do it twice a week or he gets left out. Not trying to be mean but if you dont prioritize it he will assume its low priority to you too. Communication is key, even if it feels awkward at first. Just set the expectation early.
