meditation app subscriptions are a scam right
Quote from Boldriver1984 on July 3, 2019, 6:57 pmi forgot to cancel my meditation app subscription again. it is $14.99 a month. that is a lot for five minutes of silence. i tried using it last week at 6 am while my toddler was crying because he wanted cereal. the app told me to breathe through my nose. i was too busy chasing socks around the kitchen to breathe. my bank statement from starbucks looks better than this investment. honestly i just want to sit in my car for ten minutes without being asked to upgrade to the premium tier for better sleep sounds. is anyone else just paying this so they feel productive? do you guys actually get calm or do you just feel guilty for not meditating enough?

Quote from finlagoon on September 19, 2019, 10:44 pmYeah it’s awful. I’m 48 and just forgot my own nickname for the new dog. Three kids really fries you. I’ve started using a whiteboard by the door for important stuff just to keep my sanity. My ex used to joke about it but honestly it’s exhausting not knowing what day it is half the time. Just drink coffee and roll with it.

Quote from Betty1972 on December 15, 2019, 6:15 pmHonestly yeah. After kids and coding all day, my battery is dead before I even shower. I just want five mins without checking Slack. My partner gets it now, we stick to cuddling or quickies when energy allows. No pressure, no date nights planning stress. Just existing together. If ur forcing it, it gets worse. Take the pressure off.

Quote from Nancy1978 on February 15, 2019, 7:48 amHonestly I just stop trying to rush everything. Ngl, I used to think moving fast meant getting more done but it just meant I was tired and mad. Now I walk slower, take longer lunches, and dont answer emails right away. My cholesterol is better and my hair is healthier. Slow down sis, nobody is counting your steps except the people trying to sell you shoes.

Quote from Sunny1994 on July 13, 2019, 7:30 amArre, ye kya baat hai. My husband also sleeps with mouth hanging open, looks scary actually. I tried taping his mouth once with medical tape, he woke up confused next morning. Now I just give up after two years. It is annoying but not dealbreaker for us. Sahi hai, we make do. If you cant handle it, try nasal strips maybe?

Quote from Susan1991 on November 9, 2020, 12:18 amI feel this. Last year I hit a wall too. I’m a teacher so I spend all day pouring into others and come home with nothing left. I realized it wasnt laziness, it was just burnout. Now I force myself to rest without guilt. Honestly just taking a nap or doing absolutely nothing for an hour changed everything. Youre not lazy, youre just drained. Be kind to yourself.

Quote from Scarletpond on June 6, 2020, 4:11 amOye girl, that sounds exhausting tbh. Honestly, If he keeps bringing up his ex, I’m just straight up telling him stop right there. It’s disrespectful to me and weird for him. I’d say either leave the ghost in the past or I’m leaving. Seriously, why are you stuck listening to his drama? He needs to get his act together or find someone else to play therapist. No jokes.
