Quote from emeraldlily on May 24, 2022, 4:23 pmhit a wall yesterday after leg day. Ngl, felt like garbage for two days. just pushed through hydration and sleep. now i’m fine but dead tired. honestly might be eating enough protein too. my gym buddy says i look like i got hit by a bus after workouts. not helpful but funny. try drinking more water and maybe lower intensity for a week. see if that helps.

Quote from truespirit1970 on February 13, 2022, 2:15 amAura is just a fancy word for burnout. I stare at my spreadsheet at 7pm and feel like a ghost haunting my own kitchen. Sleep helps. Also eating something that isnt granola. If you cant look in the mirror without screaming maybe take the day off. Work does not care if you glow.

Quote from karen1994 on February 14, 2022, 9:41 amI feel you. At my age, I just dont want it either. My husband sleeps in the other room half the time and we are perfectly fine with that. I prefer cuddling on the couch watching tv without any pressure to perform. Life is too short to stress over something you dont need to do. Just relax and enjoy your time together.

Quote from Leafchange on May 3, 2022, 2:14 pmnever had time to be stressed after first kid too. 3 kids is just chaos but you get used to it. I just keep a big whiteboard in kitchen for daily tasks and let husband handle bedtime sometimes. my brain feels full all the time but honestly its better than before. just survive each day. dont worry about being perfect.

Quote from basil on December 19, 2022, 8:46 amHonestly sounds like you are just burnt out. My aura isn’t broken either, just tired. I wake up early for fajr pray then rush kids to school. After work I cook for everyone because mom always says food is love. Now I sit on couch staring at phone. If I don’t sleep 8 hours my face gets pale and I snap at husband. Just rest already.

Quote from Ivoryexit on December 13, 2022, 7:20 ami do the same thing. spent months hating him for taking over all the chores and now i miss having company at dinner. its weird but true. the silence in my empty house is louder than our arguments ever were. just started cooking for two again out of habit then catching myself lol.

Quote from happy1973 on January 19, 2022, 12:11 amHonestly same here. My guy works long hours too and comes home completely drained. I learned to just not make it a big deal. Sometimes we cuddle and call it a day. Other times he showers and we try later when hes a bit more rested. Just accept it and focus on other ways to connect like cooks dinner together or watching a show. No pressure is key for us.

Quote from claymoor on February 17, 2022, 8:01 pmhonestly i just chuckle and say no thanks. i need a solid block of quiet to actually decompress. five minutes feels like a blink. sometimes he wants to talk though so i just say lets talk over dinner later. i force a little boundary without making it huge. my brain still feels foggy from grading so i really need that space. just be upfront about needing downtime.

Quote from StarSeaside on November 25, 2022, 8:23 amSame here. My ex wanted nonstop. Now I’m single and if a guy asks for more than once a week I’m out. I spend my free time napping, reading, or drinking wine on the patio. Zero sex drive since the divorce. If he’s tired he can go sleep. I had enough of being someone’s hobby. This peace is worth more than any hookup. Just let him figure it out.
