It is 7 am on a Tuesday and my leg still aches. The PT says I should be walking more but the stairs are impossible. I spent twenty minutes at Target buying ice packs for four dollars each which feels like a ripoff. My grandson asked to play tag yesterday and I had to say no and he looked so disappointed. I miss my morning coffee walks to the post office. The house is clean but I have nowhere to go. The ceiling is boring. I tried watching a movie but fell asleep. The rain is coming down hard outside and my knee throbs with the change in weather. Doctor wants me to wait another week before driving. I feel useless here. Does anyone have tips for staying sane when stuck indoors?

aaj kal ye sab common hai. me bhi shuru me pareshan hoti thi. par ab main apna time leti hoon. gym, friends, ya bas phone pe baithna. usko pehle se bata doon agar busy hu. ab wo samajhta hai ki mere bina nahi chalega. pressure nahi lena chahiye bhabhi. apna peace maintain karo.

same here honestly. Honestly, i keep blaming it on getting older but my pms has been straight up weird lately. bloated as hell and tired af even after sleeping. i finally went to the doc and got my thyroid checked too. turns out my levels were kinda off. might wanna just get checked out tho bc hormones can be wild at this age. dont just assume its aging.

I quit last year. Joined in Jan, went 3 times. Gifted my card to my mom who also doesn't go. Now I just walk the dog aggressively around the block. My calves aren't toned but my bank account is thicker. If you're paying monthly just to sweat guilt, stop. The money feels better than leg day ever did.

My husband used to think that was plenty till I started scheduling other things. I swear, Now we do it twice a week or he gets left out. Not trying to be mean but if you dont prioritize it he will assume its low priority to you too. Communication is key, even if it feels awkward at first. Just set the expectation early.

definitely real. i’m 36 in tech, sit 10 hours a day, and got diagnosed last year. my doctor said it’s nerve sensitivity not just aging. i started doing gentle yoga and fixing my posture at work. helps a bit. don’t ignore it, get blood work done to rule out other stuff first. honestly the fatigue is the worst part, more than the pain.

same here. i stretch every nite but my hamstrings are rock. it’s wild how fast the body changes. i just accept it now and focus on keeping my back loose so i dont hurt myself. 45 feels young but the joints say otherwise. at least mine still work lol.

I literally sprint into the locker room and close my eyes for 60 sec. Heart rate spikes just thinking about people watching. My trick is noise cancelling headphones and ignoring everyone. Once i start moving the panic fades. Just zone out. dont look at mirrors. keep it simple. u got this but yeah the walk in is the hardest part.

desi mama here. totally get it. gym culture is so aggressive. i also feel bad when ppl standing near me. so now i wear big headphones and listen to old school bollywood songs. focuses my mind. also go to 6 am slot when empty. dont worry, u not strange. just take deep breaths. it will pass. drink water too.

I stopped having a home gym. Bought one of those cheap folding bikes and keep it in the garage. My grandkids think it is a race car. At least the floor stays clear. After forty years of letting them run wild I just gave up on pristine spaces. Now i chase them outside with water balloons when they get too rowdy. Works every time.
