is it normal to be this tired after 20 mins on treadmill
Quote from Marilyn1991 on April 24, 2020, 11:43 pmI’m writing this at 8 pm from my couch because I physically cannot move my left leg. I went to the gym after dropping Maya off at soccer practice. It was raining so I felt extra justified in being done by 5:30. I got on the treadmill for twenty minutes. That’s it. Not even an hour. Just twenty minutes of walking at a 3.5 pace with zero incline. I felt like I ran a marathon. My lungs were burning and my knees hurt. I drank a water for three dollars at the vending machine because I forgot my bottle. Now I just want to eat a grilled cheese and sleep for twelve hours. Is anyone else this exhausted or am I just out of shape?

Quote from Joyce1974 on August 2, 2020, 2:01 amomg i feel u. honestly ive just stopped overcomplicating it. i wash my face with cetaphil, put on cerave moisturizer, and thats it. no fancy serums or masks. sometimes my skin just needs a break all the products. drink more water too because dehydration makes it worse for real. hang in there sis it gets better.

Quote from susan1972 on August 2, 2020, 9:01 pmhit a wall yesterday after leg day. felt like garbage for two days. just pushed through hydration and sleep. now i’m fine but dead tired. honestly might be eating enough protein too. my gym buddy says i look like i got hit by a bus after workouts. not helpful but funny. try drinking more water and maybe lower intensity for a week. see if that helps.

Quote from coffeelover1986 on March 23, 2020, 10:46 pmhonestly i just chuckle and say no thanks. i need a solid block of quiet to actually decompress. five minutes feels like a blink. sometimes he wants to talk though so i just say lets talk over dinner later. i force a little boundary without making it huge. my brain still feels foggy from grading so i really need that space. just be upfront about needing downtime.

Quote from Stonerime on January 6, 2021, 6:17 amHonestly same here. I train 4 days a week and nothing moves. But honestly started tracking protein strictly. Before I was eating carbs only. Now I make sure every meal has chicken or lentils. Also stopped skipping breakfast. My shaadi diet was full of sugar so body got used to it. Give it 2 months see if changes. Don't stress, happens to many of us here.

Quote from Sagewaterway on November 15, 2021, 8:00 amhonestly same. i just stop trying to initiate. if he wants sex we can do it but i am not providing the aftercare anymore. he has to learn to be affectionate on his own or not get lucky. i am too exhausted to play therapist. just let him sit with the awkward silence instead of fixing it for him. works for me.

Quote from Citylights1989 on November 1, 2021, 3:35 pmHonestly yeah i cancelled headspace last year. saved the money and just sit on my balcony with my phone in another room. 10 mins of staring at the void works just as well. apps are just a business model targeting anxious professionals. plus the constant notifications reminding you to meditate is ironic at best. keep it simple.

Quote from lisa1985 on July 2, 2021, 4:07 pmnah just go. Lol, i always use busy work as an excuse to skip but regret it later. my family gathers every weekend so i try to squeeze in a quick session before them. keeps the stress down. even twenty minutes is better than nothing. dont overthink it. just put on your shoes and go. you will feel better after.

Quote from Mapleexpedition on November 29, 2021, 9:48 pmyeah it sucks. i basically stand up for the last 10 mins of every zoom to reset. also bought a cheap footrest for my desk setup. helps a lot when you have to sit through 3 hrs of synergy meetings. if its really bad maybe see a doc but mostly its just bad posture combined with sitting too long. my knees click like old floorboards honestly

Quote from Dawnwork on October 24, 2021, 4:37 pmyupp its not just u. my knees scream after sitting 10 hrs at my desk coding. i swear the office chairs r designed to torture us. started doing those simple chair stretches every hour and bought a cheaper ergonomic cushion. helps a bit but still hurts when weather changes. just try not to ignore it before it gets worse. my dad had bad knees by 40 lol.
