how do you store jewelry??

hey ladies,

just wanted to see how you all keep your necklaces and earrings from getting tangled. i swear mine are always a mess by the time i want to wear them. i saw a little tiered stand at marshalls last week but wasn't sure if it'd actually work. anyone got a favorite method?
