Home vs gym
Quote from SweetStar on September 18, 2019, 3:06 pmHonestly same. Tbh, That humidity gets to me every single night. I stopped trying to fight it and just bought those gel cooling pads for the mattress. Works a little better than flipping sheets. Also keep a damp washcloth by the bed and rotate it in the freezer. Not glamorous but it helps me get maybe six hours. Good luck out there.

Quote from iris1993 on December 11, 2019, 3:22 amgirl listen to me i train twice as hard too but my prs are trash. honestly think its recovery not effort. i eat like a horse every day and sleep 8 hours straight. if ur not eating enough or sleeping like a baby ur body literally cant build. stop killing urself in the gym and start feeding that body. sometimes less is more tbh. try deloading for a week and see what happens.

Quote from Stardust2003 on May 25, 2019, 6:37 pmmine stays elevated for like 20 mins after heavy leg days. Omg, usually just chug water and walk around the house til it drops. if its still high after an hour i check my electrolytes. been doing this for years so i know my body pretty well. dont overthink it unless something feels off otherwise its just burnout or not enough carbs.

Quote from citylights1983 on March 14, 2019, 1:16 pmGirl same thing happens to me. I just start with five minutes on the treadmill. If it feels too heavy I stop. No guilt allowed. My prayer group helps too, we just talk about stress sometimes. Don’t try to do all at once. Just show up honey. Y’all got this. Lord willing we keep going one day at a time.

Quote from Wise1969 on September 4, 2020, 10:34 amyup same. i do high impact stuff so my knees are basically shot. after sunday service i literally have to ice them for an hour straight. it sucks but hey, pain is temporary right. just keep moving and take some ibuprofen if you have to. dont let it stop you from hitting the gym tomorrow. we got this.

Quote from rainscore on October 1, 2020, 12:51 amI had to stop signing up for team sports where everyone relies on me to show up. Now I just go run by myself before work. If people dont wanna meet me outside, they can wait in the car or stay home. My workout is my workout. I dont have time or energy to babysit grown adults through their fitness journeys. It is exhausting and pointless. I focus on my pace and my goals only. Boundaries helped more than any new routine ever did.

Quote from Meeklyheart on February 6, 2020, 7:31 pmLook I stopped trying to be spiritual all the time. It felt like work. Now I just drink water and walk outside. If I need to reset I sit quietly for five mins. No chanting no crystals. Just breathing. My peace comes from boundaries not rituals. Keep it simple. Rest when tired. Ignore the pressure to be enlightened. You dont owe anyone your energy.

Quote from Silverexploit on August 12, 2020, 9:36 pmit is 11 pm and the house is dead quiet. my husband fell asleep on the couch at 930 pm with the tv still on. i just did laundry for the fourth time this week because the kids spill juice everywhere. i went to target today for a $2 cereal box and spent $80 on stuff i do not need. now i am sitting here drinking rooibos tea but i cannot relax. the air feels heavy. why does my home feel so cold and empty when my whole family is literally in the other room? i tried lighting a candle from ulta but it did not help. i just feel so drained. is this normal or am i just crazy?

Quote from Rebecca1969 on September 27, 2020, 3:48 pmI feel you. At my age, I just dont want it either. My husband sleeps in the other room half the time and we are perfectly fine with that. I prefer cuddling on the couch watching tv without any pressure to perform. Life is too short to stress over something you dont need to do. Just relax and enjoy your time together.
