help with bedtime routine again
Quote from Amberpledge on May 9, 2020, 3:01 pmomg i am so tired. it’s like 9pm and we are still not in bed. leo spilled his juice all over the floor like an hour ago, i just cleaned it up and then he wanted a bath again. now it’s story time and he’s fidgeting so much. i wish i could just tell him to sleep but he gets so upset. i already read him two books. i got the big fluffy towel from target for him today, he liked that. i feel like i do this every night and nothing works. is anyone else’s kid like this?

Quote from pearlcomparison on May 12, 2020, 4:45 pm@Amberpledge Hang in there! Sometimes I just have to sit them down and tell them it's really bedtime. I made tea last night to cope.

Quote from wise1982 on May 17, 2020, 9:05 am@Amberpledge Oh wow, juice spills and an extra bath! I totally get it, mine did the same thing with a yogurt mess last week. At least story time is a nice pause.

Quote from fieldcrown on May 20, 2020, 4:37 amUgh, I feel you on the endless cleanup. We had a similar situation with my youngest and some cereal yesterday. Just keep breathing, mama.

Quote from Dawnbell on May 21, 2020, 8:32 pmStory time IS the best, even when you're running on fumes. We're on book number three tonight, and I'm pretty sure I could recite it in my sleep.

Quote from Joan205 on May 25, 2020, 1:20 pm@Amberpledge I hear you! That tea sounds like a good idea. I'm usually too exhausted to even think about making tea, just collapse on the couch.
