gym makes me feel heavier bc of weight gain
Quote from carolyn on April 4, 2020, 1:43 ami went to the gym at 6 am today. just me and the treadmill. i looked down at myself and hated what i saw. i feel so much heavier since having my baby. my clothes fit different everywhere. i went to walmart yesterday and tried on jeans. none of them zipped. it cost like twelve bucks for those jeans too so it wasnt even worth the waste of time. i cried in the fitting room while checking out the clearance rack. my husband doesnt get it. he says im doing fine. but i dont feel fine. i feel tired and big and stuck. i keep eating salads and walking but the number on the scale wont drop. does anyone else feel like the gym just highlights how much weight you gained instead of helping you lose it?

Quote from Anna1992 on April 6, 2020, 5:17 amI just put my headphones on and ignore it. Honestly half those people are probably looking at themselves anyway I do my thing and leave. I’ve been in three different bases so far this year so im used to feeling like the new kid everywhere. Just focus on your workout and try not to overthink it. People are usually more concerned with their own appearance than yours.

Quote from Diane1970 on September 17, 2020, 11:39 amOh honey same here lol. I tried my first yoga retreat last year and spent half the class waddling around. I just sit on a folded towel now and let it all go. No fancy props needed. My knees click like a geiger counter but at least I get some quiet time to drink tea. Keep going dear.

Quote from Sunbailey on April 23, 2020, 1:20 amMy husband works construction and comes home dead tired. i used to feel rejected but realized he just needs rest. we cuddle sometimes but don't push for sex. if i really want it, i initiate gentle touch without expectations. if he says no, i respect it and we watch tv. communication helps more than pressure. don't take it personally, man just needs to recharge.

Quote from sunny1971 on September 17, 2021, 9:45 amsister same here. my body feels heavy like lead but rent dont wait. i take paracetamol and keep typing with shaking hands. dont tell boss, just push through. if u faint who will pay bills? drink ginger tea if u can find time. we survive not because we strong but because we have no choice. take one day off max then back to grind.

Quote from Fieldhoar on April 3, 2021, 4:03 amugh tell me about it. Honestly, i cant even sit down right bc my quads are screaming. took me three days to walk down the stairs after my last session and even that was a struggle. i just layed in bed and stared at the ceiling while my legs shook. but hey at least we look good doing it, right? ugh. seriously though hope it goes away by tomorrow.

Quote from nancy1968 on August 4, 2021, 1:05 pmomg seriously?? five minutes is barely enough time to settle in. my bf does this too and lowkey it’s kinda stressful. i just tell him i’m not ready yet and need to actually relax first. feels like a race sometimes. if he keeps pushing i’d honestly be confused bc like come on. give us a second to breathe ykno

Quote from minthillside on July 21, 2021, 8:38 pmSame here. My husband also takes forever. I just put on noise cancelling headphones and listen to music. Or I do my own skincare routine downstairs. No point waiting. Let him take his time. I make chai for myself and relax. It is better than sitting there angry. You learn to manage it. Just ignore the shower sound and focus on yourself. Works for me most days.

Quote from Jacqueline1967 on March 21, 2021, 9:59 amgirl same. honestly just ordering food is my foreplay now lol. my husband thinks i am crazy but we keep it simple. sometimes we just cuddle and watch netflix until one of us gets lucky. dont stress too much about being spicy all the time. keeping the connection alive is what matters mostly. we are tired mamas, we deserve rest too. buen vibe siempre.
