Grandma’s prayers kept me sane during that storm.
Quote from mosswood on October 6, 2025, 11:34 pmit is 11 pm and the house is dead quiet. my husband fell asleep on the couch at 930 pm with the tv still on. i just did laundry for the fourth time this week because the kids spill juice everywhere. i went to target today for a $2 cereal box and spent $80 on stuff i do not need. now i am sitting here drinking rooibos tea but i cannot relax. the air feels heavy. why does my home feel so cold and empty when my whole family is literally in the other room? i tried lighting a candle from ulta but it did not help. i just feel so drained. is this normal or am i just crazy?

Quote from kindlyshine on February 25, 2025, 9:08 ami just do it. I swear, keep it simple. load the bar, bend over, pull. my ancestors were strong so im wired for this. i dont overthink the technique much, just move the weight. sometimes i fail, that’s normal. i breathe through my nose, focus on my core, and push through. it feels good when the weight moves. no fancy gear needed, just sweat and determination. keep showing up.

Quote from Snowscene on August 11, 2026, 2:57 pmhonestly i just ice them for 20 mins right after and take ibuprofen. we move every 3 years so i dont have a regular PT and literally cant afford to take days off work. just stretch hard before bed and try not to jump around so much tomorrow. knees are wrecked from all the boxes we drag into these tiny apartment moves anyway. lol.

Quote from jewelrace on August 11, 2026, 2:57 pmman its awful. i just gave him tylenol and laid him on the couch with extra blankets. then i set five alarms on my phone to check his temp while hes sleeping. if hes burning up by 4am i call out and just dont go in. better than trying to work with a sick kid at home. hope he breaks the fever soon.

Quote from Hopespirit on June 29, 2025, 4:01 pmHusband thinks I’m crazy for needing quiet too. I leave the house every Saturday morning. Go to the library or just sit in my car. He complains but I don’t care. If I don’t get that hour to myself I snap. My peace isn’t negotiable. You do you. Don’t let him guilt trip you into losing your mind.

Quote from Kind1977 on November 24, 2025, 7:20 amhonestly same vibe. my man keeps pushing stuff i just do not have energy for anymore. i told him straight up that i am tapped out. sometimes you just gotta say no to the new thing and protect your peace. i spent last weekend just sitting by the river refreshing myself. if you do not want it, do not do it. boundaries save marriages. he needs to accept where you are at right now.

Quote from carolyn on January 6, 2026, 4:08 pmomg i feel u. honestly ive just stopped overcomplicating it. i wash my face with cetaphil, put on cerave moisturizer, and thats it. no fancy serums or masks. sometimes my skin just needs a break all the products. drink more water too because dehydration makes it worse for real. hang in there sis it gets better.

Quote from ivorydream on August 30, 2025, 4:01 pmim done with the whole find god thing honestly. its exhausting trying to fit into someone else's version of spirituality. i just go to the river, sit in silence, and let the water do the talking. no rituals, no forcing it. sometimes the earth is enough. rest is its own form of prayer for me right now.
