Quote from CalmsoIL on January 5, 2024, 5:55 pmlol so true. For real, i code all day then drag my body to lift heavy things. my back is always stiff but i refuse to stop. my husband thinks im crazy but gym keeps my mind clear. sometimes i just go to hit the treadmill and listen to arabic music loud. dont care if it feels rigged. i need the sweat to feel human. we overthink too much as tech workers. just move your body. simple.

Quote from Donna1983 on January 5, 2024, 5:55 pmHonestly same. That humidity gets to me every single night. I stopped trying to fight it and just bought those gel cooling pads for the mattress. Works a little better than flipping sheets. Also keep a damp washcloth by the bed and rotate it in the freezer. Not glamorous but it helps me get maybe six hours. Good luck out there.

Quote from Angela1991 on April 29, 2024, 4:50 amSame here. My ex wanted nonstop. Now I’m single and if a guy asks for more than once a week I’m out. I spend my free time napping, reading, or drinking wine on the patio. Zero sex drive since the divorce. If he’s tired he can go sleep. I had enough of being someone’s hobby. This peace is worth more than any hookup. Just let him figure it out.

Quote from SweetSoul on November 7, 2024, 11:37 amthree years is forever honestly. For real, i’ve been off apps for two years now. my tribe taught me patience is good but not sitting around waiting for magic. i go to classes and meet people through friends. if he can’t commit in that time he’s just using the app for ego. stop waiting. keep living your life.

Quote from Sweet1996 on February 4, 2024, 6:25 pmomg yeah. week 3 is the worst. i keep staring at the ceiling wondering why my life is on pause. i finally started watching that new detective show so i have something to look forward to besides the clock. also realized ive gained like 5 lbs. just try to survive the boredom. my cousin had the same knee op last year and said week 4 gets slightly better. hang in there.

Quote from goldensunset2001 on November 9, 2024, 2:41 pmAura is just a fancy word for burnout. I stare at my spreadsheet at 7pm and feel like a ghost haunting my own kitchen. Sleep helps. Also eating something that isnt granola. If you cant look in the mirror without screaming maybe take the day off. Work does not care if you glow.

Quote from boldtide on February 21, 2024, 7:21 pmman same. my legs are dead every single night. i try to run but its more like a walk and my daughter keeps screaming at me to hurry up. honestly just sit on the bench and tell them they gotta entertain themselves for like 5 min. saves my life and my knees lol. coffee is the only thing keeping me upright tbh

Quote from duskfern on April 15, 2024, 6:58 pmnah man that sounds like purly weak abs or bad shoes fr. Lol, i used to get killed in the lower back til i started doing deadbugs every morning. also check your arch support. walking 3 miles on concrete with flat soles is gonna wreck u. i switch to my asics now and stretch my hip flexors right after. it helped so much.
