Quote from Trueaura on April 26, 2021, 3:39 pmsister no u not lazy. i hit that wall hard last year. felt like carrying the world but had zero energy left. i stopped trying to do it all and just did the bare minimum for a while. let dishes pile up, ordered takeout, went to bed early. ur body is screaming for rest not more punishment. take the day off. truly.

Quote from Leaffog on October 28, 2021, 3:06 pmHonestly yeah i cancelled headspace last year. saved the money and just sit on my balcony with my phone in another room. 10 mins of staring at the void works just as well. apps are just a business model targeting anxious professionals. plus the constant notifications reminding you to meditate is ironic at best. keep it simple.

Quote from FaithValley on April 28, 2021, 12:50 pmUgh that sucks. My ex used to do the same thing. I just stopped engaging. If he says something wild I’d either walk away or say whatever’s on my mind directly. No more tiptoeing. It’s exhausting trying to manage his ego. Honestly if he can’t respect your feelings he’s not worth the stress. Sorry u’re dealing with it.

Quote from Snowcloud on May 27, 2021, 6:46 amYeah it’s the divorce fatigue. I’m 46 and honestly just wrecked. Spent all day sorting through mail and thinking about alimony payments instead of actually living. My knees hurt from walking the dog and my brain feels foggy all day. Just drank iced coffee but still feel heavy. Not sure if it’s grief or just old age kicking in early.

Quote from Shimmerpeat on August 3, 2021, 3:31 pmI stopped playing detective when he started requesting space. If he needs to breathe he can do it outside our home. I packed his favorite mug and moved it to the shelf. Then I ordered takeout and watched a movie without checking my phone every five minutes. Peace is expensive but cheaper than anxiety. Now he texts me asking if we are okay. I just sent a thumbs up emoji and went back to work.

Quote from calm1970 on March 24, 2022, 9:07 amwe just do what works for us and dont mess with it anymore. Tbh, tried all that fancy stuff years ago and it felt like work. now its just comfortable and safe. if he wants to try something new tell him to go talk to his buddies about it or hit the garage alone. im not playing around in the bedroom just to tick a box for him.

Quote from Fieldmere on January 10, 2022, 7:20 pmI stop chasing them. I find a bench and sit. If they want me to watch them swing or drop and run, they gotta come get me. I’m in my forties, my knees are shot and I refuse to jog after a seven year old anymore. They learn pretty quick that mom is stationary unless they initiate. Saves my energy and tests their legs.

Quote from lucky1969 on March 23, 2022, 7:49 amaaj kal ye sab common hai. Tbh, me bhi shuru me pareshan hoti thi. par ab main apna time leti hoon. gym, friends, ya bas phone pe baithna. usko pehle se bata doon agar busy hu. ab wo samajhta hai ki mere bina nahi chalega. pressure nahi lena chahiye bhabhi. apna peace maintain karo.

Quote from BirchPeak on September 19, 2022, 6:35 amI just throw a load of laundry in and call it a day. My husband complains but he never helps so I just ignore him. I’m black and white but mostly exhausted from moving every two years. Chicago winters are brutal enough without stressing over dust bunnies. I eat cereal on the counter while boxes sit in the living room. If he wants it perfect he can clean it himself. I’m too tired to care rn.
