anyone else too tired to work out after babysitting
Quote from MarigoldSong on June 18, 2023, 1:01 pmi just stopped answering his texts about needing space. honestly it feels exhausting to keep picking up the pieces every time he checks out. im focusing on my lesson planning and hanging out with my girls instead. if he wants space he can have it but im not holding my breath. it isnt my job to manage his emotions or wait around.

Quote from Leafmist on September 20, 2023, 5:17 amHonestly same here. I used to force myself to meditate for twenty minutes every morning and it just felt like another item on my to, do list. Now I just read one chapter of a book before bed. No pressure, no timer, just me and the story. If I miss a night, I dont sweat it. It stopped feeling like a chore once I stopped treating it like a performance and just kept it ridiculously low stakes.

Quote from Diana1976 on June 29, 2023, 6:18 pmYeah totally normal. For real, My husband does the same after work. He just sits on the porch and stares at the trees or works on his truck. I dont bother him. It gives him space to chill so hes not grumpy later. Some guys just need that quiet time to decompress. I get my own time too. We both respect it. It works for us.

Quote from Sandy1982 on May 21, 2024, 5:18 pmhonestly i stopped keeping score years ago. now i just buy myself flowers and go get lunch with my best friend. we laugh about it over coffee. he gets the silent treatment until he remembers next time. dont waste your energy crying over it. treat yourself instead. my husband forgot our 30th too. i just changed the subject and ordered pizza. life goes on.

Quote from Groverush on August 25, 2024, 1:24 amHonestly that’s just rude. My husband says the same sometimes bc my mom was a different era. I just tell him to stop comparing. I cook what tastes good to me now. Sometimes it’s simpler. If he doesn’t like it he can make it himself. Seriously don’t let it get to you.

Quote from Coppermission on February 21, 2024, 2:27 pmhonestly same. I swear, I deadlift heavy then my whole day is over. My mom would kill me if she saw me nap right after eating but idk. I just crash on the couch while the kids play nearby. Maybe protein shake helps a bit but mostly its just body being wrecked. Go sleep girl. We talk later yeah.

Quote from Gentleforest1993 on January 11, 2024, 11:10 amdamn that is so disrespectful. i would literally throw his phone across the room right then and there. i dont even care if he says he didnt talk to her. the fact that he matched is the betrayal. i would pack a bag and leave that night. zero tolerance for that kind of shady behavior. hope you have the strength to walk away because thats not love.

Quote from Hornsaddle on May 10, 2024, 5:57 ami drink a cup of nettle tea before bed and keep my room pitch black. also stop scrolling right before sleep, the blue light messes with your rest. i noticed once i stopped eating heavy meals late at night, i wake up way more refreshed. try drinking a big glass of water first thing in the morning too, dehydration hides as fatigue sometimes.
