another move and my husband expects me to have the house perfect by d, day
Quote from Dewriver on August 11, 2019, 8:35 amit is 11 pm. kids are finally asleep. i am sitting on the floor of this empty master bedroom. my husband just threw out that he needs the house spotless by d, day. we have been here three days. boxes are everywhere. i spent an hour at lowes today looking for paint that matches the trim. it was $42 a gallon. i am so tired. i have been cleaning my whole life for the military. every move is the same cycle. pack clean move unpack clean. he does zero helping with the deep cleaning. he just expects it to happen. i feel like a maid not a wife. how do you guys handle this pressure?

Quote from SofttaIL on August 27, 2020, 7:32 pmsister same here. my body feels heavy like lead but rent dont wait. i take paracetamol and keep typing with shaking hands. dont tell boss, just push through. if u faint who will pay bills? drink ginger tea if u can find time. we survive not because we strong but because we have no choice. take one day off max then back to grind.

Quote from patricia1985 on September 15, 2020, 6:36 ami just blocked him and deleted the app. honestly it felt like a relief. i spent three years trying to fix things that werent broken on my end and now im just focusing on myself. no more late night scrolling or wondering if he’s talking to someone else. peace of mind is worth more than any potential match.

Quote from Cloudnine1986 on February 24, 2020, 2:27 pmsame honestly. Tbh, i’m burnt out from taking two cabs to the gym after work just to hit a PR. my brain won’t shut up about work so my weight is off. i switched to 3 short sessions a week instead of killing myself 5 times. progress is slow but i’m less exhausted. maybe u need rest not more grind. hope that helps sm

Quote from Stonevine on April 13, 2020, 9:43 amfr bro is he alive lol i usually say let me grab my purse first cuz that’s my polite way of saying no without being rude. also check if he’s just rushing to get home. my ex did that. u know the drill. keep it casual and see if he walks u to ur car or just stands there staring. red flag if hes clocking the whole date like its a pit stop.

Quote from Jean1974 on April 23, 2020, 11:12 pmHonestly i just stopped apologizing for it. My auntie sat me down and said my body is mine not his obligation. Now i just say no clearly without over explaining. If they get mad that’s on them. Also make sure you’re not just burnt out from kitchen duty all week. Rest is valid. Keep your boundaries firm sis.

Quote from Hornviewpoint on November 6, 2020, 4:46 amnah that sounds like he’s just trying to get away with being rude. Honestly, i just tell my partner straight up that his tone is disrespectful and i won’t tolerate it. if he gets defensive then i know he’s not listening. i walk away until he can speak to me with basic respect. you’re not too sensitive for wanting to be treated right.

Quote from fernlicense on June 20, 2020, 2:59 amI just say no and stop explaining myself. Lol, My body, my rules. If he cant handle that we done. I used to feel bad but now I see it as lazy communication on my part. You dont owe anyone access to yourself. Just be clear and consistent. If guilt creeps in remind yourself that you are allowed to rest too.

Quote from ScarletRose on September 23, 2020, 1:01 amhonestly yeah its normal. my husband does this all the time. he just needs space to recharge without talking. i figured it out early so now i just let him be. go do my own thing while he sits in his cave. once he comes out he talks again. dont take it personal. its just how he processes stuff. works for us.
