tired of doing pilates alone honestly
Quote from firetooth on January 20, 2019, 5:44 pmi am so done with this routine. every day i put the kids to bed at nine then do pilates on my rug. it is loud and my back hurts more now. i miss the studio i used to go to before we moved here. the nearby gym is too expensive like forty dollars a month which is too much for my budget. i tried crossfit but the guys talk too loud and i feel like an outsider. i just want someone to nod at me when i finish a set. last week i bought a fancy mat from target for thirty dollars but it slides everywhere. my husband says i should just walk but i hate walking alone in the dark. does anyone know a cheap class near downtown or should i just quit?

Quote from Becky1985 on January 16, 2019, 2:59 pmok so this happens to me too ngl. i figured out its the fabric softener causing it honestly. that stuff coats the fibers and traps bacteria basically. just stop using dryer sheets or liquid softener on activewear. instead throw a cup of white vinegar in the rinse cycle. smells like nothing once dry but kills the funk. also dont let wet clothes sit in the hamper for days that makes it worse trust me.

Quote from silkriver on September 23, 2019, 6:09 amHonestly same. For real, I stopped trying to force the whole sanctuary vibe and just do five mins of stretching while my niece naps nearby. No chanting, no candles, just breathing. If I miss a day, I don't guilt trip myself. Sometimes spirituality is just showing up tired and dealing with it. Keep it simple sis, your soul gets it.

Quote from Brassexpedition on January 25, 2019, 8:56 pmHonestly yeah. After kids and coding all day, my battery is dead before I even shower. I just want five mins without checking Slack. My partner gets it now, we stick to cuddling or quickies when energy allows. No pressure, no date nights planning stress. Just existing together. If ur forcing it, it gets worse. Take the pressure off.

Quote from archgate on November 18, 2020, 5:10 amusually its just dehydration and low blood sugar hitting at once. i drink a big glass of water immediately after and eat something with carbs and protein within 30 mins. if i skip the postrun snack i feel terrible too. also make sure you actually cool down with a walk instead of just stopping dead. helps the cortisol drop

Quote from truespirit1989 on October 1, 2020, 12:37 pmHonestly I just stopped apologizing. Tbh, My husband thinks I’m mad sometimes but I’m not. Just tired. Or bored. It’s okay. We cuddle instead. Or watch TV. I don’t force it. If I want to, it happens. If not, we sleep. My body isn’t a public service. Try that. It works for us. At least the guilt is gone for me.

Quote from Sunbeamotter on September 1, 2020, 8:58 ami literally just stopped asking him to do anything. if i need something done i do it myself or hire a babysitter for an hour. my sanity is worth more than his participation. dont wait around for him to step up he wont. lower your expectations to zero and stop explaining what you need. it just saves everyone the drama.

Quote from Birdsuccess on September 29, 2021, 4:04 pmyeah honey same here. For real, i used to hate the gym so much. now i just walk around my neighborhood for 30 mins while listening to audiobooks or music. makes time fly and doesnt feel like a chore at all. sometimes i just sit on the porch and soak up the sun. keeps the joints loose without the agony of lifting weights. hope you find something that clicks for you too.

Quote from FaithHill on February 27, 2021, 12:31 pmI just say no and stop explaining myself. My body, my rules. If he cant handle that we done. I used to feel bad but now I see it as lazy communication on my part. You dont owe anyone access to yourself. Just be clear and consistent. If guilt creeps in remind yourself that you are allowed to rest too.
