my husband wont help with afele and i have no mana
Quote from quietstorm1971 on April 15, 2020, 3:36 amit is 10 pm again and i am sitting on the cold tile floor eating a sad dinner while he watches rugby. i have three kids under five and my back hurts so much i can barely stand. i asked him to help with the afele chores today just the dishes and folding the washing but he said he was tired from work. i am tired too. i worked all day too. we are broke this month because i bought school supplies at FourSquare and the prices are so high. i feel like i have no mana in this house because i do everything and he just sits there. my mother told me to talk to him but what is there to say i am already drowning in laundry and cooking. does anyone else feel like they are holding up the whole house by themselves while their partner does nothing please tell me i am not crazy how do i make him see that i need help now

Quote from Cliffdew on August 21, 2020, 1:09 pmsame here. standing 8 hrs for work made my arches scream. i just swap to orthopedic inserts, not the cheap ones from mall. works way better. also try evening foot soak with epsom salt, helps reduce swelling after long shift. dont push through pain or it turns into plantar fasciitis. trust me, learned the hard way last year.

Quote from Sarah2003 on October 1, 2020, 12:37 pmHonestly that sounds nasty. My husband always says I smell like dirt and old coffee after he lets the dogs out. I just dump cheap white wine on my ankles and forget it. If he’s analyzing your scent you should probably find someone less obsessed with weird details. I’m too tired to deal with that kind of nonsense. Just keep ignoring him until he goes away. Seriously men are so exhausting sometimes.

Quote from alice1969 on June 4, 2020, 3:36 amyeah totally. you never really relax when you know your lease is up in six months. i got tired of the drama so i stayed put for three years. finally got into a routine and a bf showed up. moving every other year just feels like you are on probation somewhere. hard to invite anyone over when you are half packed

Quote from Frostlough on June 6, 2020, 7:23 amyeah that happens to me too when i sit all day at the diner. mine gets stiff as a board. i just stand up and walk around the kitchen for a bit or do some simple stretches by the sink. helps a lot. drink water too cuz dehydration makes it worse. mine still hurts sometimes but moving around gets it to loosen up eventually. dont worry about it too much

Quote from sand再见 on November 19, 2020, 1:59 pmSame situation here man. My husband acts like the kids are not his. I am exhausted holding everything down while he just sits there. My mom and sisters literally had to step in to help with the little ones otherwise I would have collapsed. It drives me crazy that I have to do everything. Just venting cause I have no energy left for this nonsense. Need a break badly.

Quote from teresa2002 on August 11, 2021, 6:40 pmI switch to walking shoes for service instead of my heels. Saves my joints. Also ibuprofen 30 mins before we leave. Dont wait till its too late. My knees sound like popcorn when I stand up if I dont prep. Just trying to stay mobile so I can keep up with my grandkids. Yall know the drill.

Quote from Theresa1984 on October 6, 2021, 2:06 amI stopped sleeping next to someone who did that years ago. The noise kept me up all night and frankly the hygiene was gross. I am not interested in debating why he does it or trying to fix it with mouth tape. I need rest so I pack my pillow and take a nap elsewhere. If he cant snore quietly then he sleeps in the guest room. Simple as that.

Quote from Boldleaf1980 on November 25, 2021, 8:33 pmYeah totally normal. My husband does the same after work. He just sits on the porch and stares at the trees or works on his truck. I dont bother him. It gives him space to chill so hes not grumpy later. Some guys just need that quiet time to decompress. I get my own time too. We both respect it. It works for us.
