kindness fatigue is real isn’t it??
Quote from fordstone on January 24, 2019, 3:20 pmI just went to Target at 8 pm with my toddler who refused to walk. I was carrying a gallon of milk and watching him scream near the cereal aisle. A woman behind me sighed so loudly I felt it in my chest. I apologized three times even though it was not my fault. I have been trying to be the nice person all day. I held doors. I let people cut in line. I smiled when I was actually crying inside. Now I am home and I feel completely empty. I do not want to be nice tomorrow. I just want to sit on the couch and eat ice cream straight from the tub. Is this normal or am I just broken?

Quote from Rainbulwark on August 22, 2019, 3:43 amomg same. just sit cross legged on a folded blanket instead of floor. keeps hips higher so less pressure on tailbone. i use old yoga mats cut up as extra cushions too. dont force posture if pain is there. just breathe and let body find comfort wherever that is today. sometimes less is more tbh.

Quote from Mossadventure on February 2, 2020, 9:55 pmomg girl same here. Tbh, I used to hate going solo too but now its my sacred time. I just put on my 90s salsa playlist and pretend the instructor is singing to me. It’s weirdly motivating. Plus no awkward small talk with neighbors who know my business. Just me and the mat vibes. Te entendi, is hard but once you get into it, nada can stop you.

Quote from Barbara2002 on April 2, 2020, 7:52 amit is 11 pm and the house is dead quiet. my husband fell asleep on the couch at 930 pm with the tv still on. i just did laundry for the fourth time this week because the kids spill juice everywhere. i went to target today for a $2 cereal box and spent $80 on stuff i do not need. now i am sitting here drinking rooibos tea but i cannot relax. the air feels heavy. why does my home feel so cold and empty when my whole family is literally in the other room? i tried lighting a candle from ulta but it did not help. i just feel so drained. is this normal or am i just crazy?

Quote from Peakroot on April 26, 2020, 8:27 amyeah it is. i limit how many things i say yes to now. last week i just told a parent i cant help with their child after hours. felt so weird saying no but did it anyway. im done carrying everyone else emotional baggage while grading papers. just doing the bare minimum for anyone who isnt my immediate family these days.

Quote from Carol1995 on May 16, 2020, 6:57 pmSame here. Since getting older my knees are complaining loudly. I stopped doing strict fasts or keeping long padavrat because it puts too much pressure on joints. Now I just do light yoga and take calcium supplements regularly. My daadi used to say joint pain is common but I didnt take it seriously until mine started hurting. Its not romantic suffering. Just eating well and resting is enough for me now.
