is it normal to be tired of the sex at my age??
Quote from WindSun on January 30, 2019, 12:53 amI am so exhausted. My husband is 62 and I am 58. We live in Georgia. Last night he wanted to go at 10pm. I had just gotten back from Walmart where I spent forty minutes looking for the right brand of dish soap. The total was only twelve dollars but my feet hurt. I told him I was tired. He said every woman says that. I am not every woman. I have a job. I have a dog. I have to make sure my granddaughter has her homework done. The sex is okay sometimes but mostly it feels like another chore on the list. I just want to sit and drink tea after dinner. I don't have the energy for all that maneuvering and noise. Is this normal or am I just being difficult?

Quote from jadevantage on November 2, 2019, 4:24 pmomg sis no you ain’t fd. i literally passed out in the squat rack once. it was embarrassing as hell but my heart just couldn’t keep up with the hype man in my head. just drink water, sit down, and breathe. nobody cares about you as much as you think they do. we all clowns in there anyway. take your time.

Quote from MapleWind on March 25, 2019, 10:10 amI just bought a good foam roller and use it every night while watching tv. Also switched to walking on the treadmill instead of the sidewalk. The incline helps a lot with my joints. My knees still hurt but its better than before. Taking ibuprofen only when it really hurts.

Quote from Ridgesedge on December 24, 2020, 2:12 pmi literally just stopped asking him to do anything. I swear, if i need something done i do it myself or hire a babysitter for an hour. my sanity is worth more than his participation. dont wait around for him to step up he wont. lower your expectations to zero and stop explaining what you need. it just saves everyone the drama.

Quote from Freemountain1974 on May 31, 2020, 6:28 ambeta honestly its so funny. my husband used to say same thing after 5 years. i just told him stop guessing and start asking. now we have proper schedule for intimacy. he thinks im strict but at least he knows what i want. dont let him call it demanding. call it clear communication. he needs to wake up and listen not just complain.

Quote from LoveLight on February 18, 2020, 7:16 pmi drink a massive cup of coffee with breakfast and set a timer for my lunch break. if i skip lunch or eat too heavy i crash hard. i also step outside for 5 mins of fresh air right after eating. helps reset my brain. my kids run me ragged in the morning so this little pause actually matters. dont push through hunger or you will regret it later.

Quote from Peakanalogy on August 30, 2020, 4:17 amnah it is totally possible i just turn 38 last week and my energy levels are actually higher than they were in my twenties. i stopped eating processed sugar and started lifting heavy weights 4 days a week. also sleep matters so much more now. if u are sleeping 6 hours and drinking lattes all day yeah ur gonna feel dead. change the routine and the energy comes back simple as that

Quote from Wooddike on January 25, 2021, 9:21 pmSame here honestly. After 2 kids, my energy is basically zero after work. I dont even think about it most days. We just sleep next to each other and thats it. Sometimes we try but im too tired so i say no. It has been like this for years now. I guess it is normal for us moms. My husband understands mostly but sometimes gets quiet about it.

Quote from Mountainmom1979 on November 24, 2021, 3:34 pmi used to pay for one of those apps but stopped after a year. honestly the ads were more stressful than the calm sounds. now i just sit in my garden or listen to birds from the porch. doesnt cost a dime and feels just as peaceful. maybe we just need quiet time without the fancy tech telling us how to breathe.
