husband wants to have sex but i feel like a ghost
Quote from frances1991 on August 12, 2019, 8:42 pmIt was 8pm last night. Just got home from making diapers at Costco. My feet hurt. Husband asked if we could be intimate. I just stared at him. I feel like a ghost in my own body. No energy at all. The kids are finally down but the house is messy. I sat on the couch and fell asleep before even taking off my boots. He told me I am distant. He wants connection but I have nothing left to give. It is not about him. It is about me being so tired I cannot feel my hands sometimes. I drink too much coffee and still crash early. I hate that I shut down. My tribe always says rest is medicine but sleep does not fix this feeling. Does anyone else feel this empty after a normal day.

Quote from Kind1990 on August 7, 2019, 11:02 amhonestly i just ice them for 20 mins right after and take ibuprofen. For real, we move every 3 years so i dont have a regular PT and literally cant afford to take days off work. just stretch hard before bed and try not to jump around so much tomorrow. knees are wrecked from all the boxes we drag into these tiny apartment moves anyway. lol.

Quote from calmvoyage on April 28, 2019, 1:37 ammy husband is the same way. For real, we just sit watch tv and hold hands. he says its enough to feel close. i tried talking more but he gets shut down. so now i just lean into it. sometimes silence is better than fake words. dont force convo if hes not there. just sit with him. it works for us even if it feels weird at first. trust the quiet.

Quote from Simplelife1975 on August 17, 2020, 2:55 amsister no u not lazy. i hit that wall hard last year. felt like carrying the world but had zero energy left. i stopped trying to do it all and just did the bare minimum for a while. let dishes pile up, ordered takeout, went to bed early. ur body is screaming for rest not more punishment. take the day off. truly.

Quote from Ann2002 on March 30, 2020, 8:18 amI don’t deal with that nonsense. If my husband speaks to me with disrespect, I shut it down right then. I tell him I’m not accepting that tone and I’m walking away until he can speak properly. You aren’t too sensitive, you just have standards. Don’t let him gaslight you into thinking his bad behavior is your problem. Walk away if he won’t change.

Quote from SeaSong on January 20, 2020, 10:34 pmHoney same here. I use one of those weekly pill boxes now. My daughter helped me set it up on Sunday night so I dont have to think about it during the week. If i miss a day i just dont take it and move on. Getting older is exhausting enough without worrying about little plastic bottles. Just keep it simple.

Quote from meadowdust on February 2, 2020, 8:30 amI stopped trying to manifest shit like three posts ago. Now I just grind. We move every two years anyway so nothing stays static. I focus on survival, not vibes. Last month I wanted a promotion and got a DS TR instead lol. Manifestation feels like voodoo when you are grounded in reality. Just do the work and hope for the best.

Quote from ivoryamber on January 20, 2020, 3:35 pmhonestly it makes me so mad because i did all the planning last year and he just got a gift card. i don’t care about the date itself but the lack of effort stings. i usually just make a big mess in the kitchen to remind him. it’s stupid but i need that acknowledgment. also semicolons are fun

Quote from Julie1965 on January 25, 2020, 4:11 amSach? I miss it too. Lol, In India we say marriage is long, but first year was pure magic. Now? Just bills and Kids ka homework. My husband is like roommate now. No dates, just grocery runs. I make effort to dress up sometimes just for me tho. Small things like coffee date without kids helps. We try Sunday breakfast out once a month. It keeps something alive tbh.
