husband thinks one time a week is enough??
Quote from Kindfete on September 18, 2019, 7:13 amI am so done. It was 10 pm on Tuesday. I just got down from the roof to watch TV and Ahmed said we need sleep for tomorrow. He slept on the couch. This is the third time this month. I am working full time and taking care of two kids. I drive an old Honda and spend all weekend cleaning the house. I bought new床单 from IKEA but he did not even notice. I feel like a maid not a wife. In my culture we are supposed to be close. I told him last Friday I miss him. He looked at his phone and said he is tired from work. Now he says once a week is normal for married people. My sister says everyone is like this. I do not feel good. I feel used and ignored. Is this really normal or should I talk to someone?

Quote from truemountain on December 6, 2019, 5:58 pmI get it. At 47, i assumed sleep was free but it really ain’t. I cut coffee after 10am and started taking magnesium before bed. Also checking my iron levels. Sometimes it’s just bad habits. Try going to bed 30 mins earlier and no phone in bed. Just straight sleep.

Quote from Frostreservoir on July 31, 2019, 5:42 amdont miss it. i am 46 and my husband and i have been together 20 years. we stopped doing all that fake excitement years ago. now we just chill. watch tv, eat good food, talk about bills. it is peaceful. the honeymoon phase is exhausting. you spend all your energy trying to impress someone. i rather be comfortable and know he is not going anywhere. save your energy for yourself.

Quote from pollenwar on March 22, 2019, 5:10 pmI stopped playing detective when he started requesting space. Tbh, If he needs to breathe he can do it outside our home. I packed his favorite mug and moved it to the shelf. Then I ordered takeout and watched a movie without checking my phone every five minutes. Peace is expensive but cheaper than anxiety. Now he texts me asking if we are okay. I just sent a thumbs up emoji and went back to work.

Quote from Helen1983 on October 18, 2020, 11:26 amhonestly i stopped asking him to help. i just do what needs doing while he hangs out. if he complains about the mess i tell him to fix it himself or shut up. at this point his energy is not worth the fight. i save my mental peace for myself and my kids. let him live in the chaos he ignores. peace is more important than being right.

Quote from Jacqueline2002 on May 30, 2020, 8:32 amHonestly just tell him to stop. Ive been with my husband for eight years and we move constantly so i dont have time for drama. If he cant leave his ex in the past then hes not ready. I wouldnt even listen anymore if he brought it up twice. Just shut it down firmly. You deserve better than that baggage.

Quote from Frances1997 on August 17, 2020, 2:55 amyeah it’s definitely worse. i’m 29 and the dating apps feel like a part time job i hate. half the guys here in chicago are either looking for a hookup or still acting like they’re in college. the other half are married but won’t admit it. i’m tired of explaining that having a career and boundaries doesn’t mean i’m high maintenance. honestly i’d rather just stay in and order pad thai. the ratio of decent men to available women feels completely off right now and i’m over pretending otherwise.

Quote from Truespirit1987 on November 29, 2020, 8:55 pmGirl same thing happens to me. I just start with five minutes on the treadmill. If it feels too heavy I stop. No guilt allowed. My prayer group helps too, we just talk about stress sometimes. Don’t try to do all at once. Just show up honey. Y’all got this. Lord willing we keep going one day at a time.

Quote from fernwork on July 27, 2020, 7:31 amyeah that sounds off. i run 3 miles outside daily and i’m fine after. maybe your pace is too high or the incline is tweaked weird. check your form too, shrugging shoulders drains you fast. i just keep it steady, breathe deep, and listen to my body. if it burns out quick, dial it down. dont push through that kind of fatigue.

Quote from Diana1978 on October 25, 2020, 4:58 pmHoney dont try to force it. When im tired i just sit in my rocker for ten minutes and hold my rosary beads. No singing no chanting nothing. Sometimes i light one candle and just breathe. Thats enough. Spirit doesnt need a performance. Rest your legs. Youre doing fine even if u sit still all day. Love ya.
