feeling so drained lately is this spiritual or just old age
Quote from Pinedeed on January 30, 2019, 12:53 amI went to Kings Supermarket yesterday at 2pm. I just wanted milk and eggs. By the time I got to the dairy aisle my knees were pounding. I stood there holding a carton of 2% and just felt so heavy. My grandson left his shoes by the door again and I had to pick them up three times. I sat down on the couch at 3pm and couldn't move. I tried to read a chapter of my book but my eyes were stuck on the same page. I feel like there is no air in my lungs. Is this just being sixty eight and tired or is my spirit empty. I don't know what to do. Am I sick or am I just done. Does anyone else feel this flat after doing nothing.

Quote from Frostfort on March 7, 2019, 8:20 pmI feel this. Last year I hit a wall too. I’m a teacher so I spend all day pouring into others and come home with nothing left. I realized it wasnt laziness, it was just burnout. Now I force myself to rest without guilt. Honestly just taking a nap or doing absolutely nothing for an hour changed everything. Youre not lazy, youre just drained. Be kind to yourself.

Quote from Wisedrum on November 1, 2020, 7:28 pmhonestly for me its the post workout crash after eating. Ngl, i used to skip snacks right after gym and then nap for 3 hours. now i force myself to eat protein within 30 mins of finishing. also make sure ur drinking water not just during but after too. dehydration hits different when u sweat that much. try eating something small immediately and see if it helps u feel less wiped out the next day.

Quote from Kimberly1999 on May 8, 2020, 6:38 amomg i feel u. honestly ive just stopped overcomplicating it. i wash my face with cetaphil, put on cerave moisturizer, and thats it. no fancy serums or masks. sometimes my skin just needs a break all the products. drink more water too because dehydration makes it worse for real. hang in there sis it gets better.

Quote from Carolyn1989 on August 12, 2020, 9:36 pmi used to pay for one of those apps but stopped after a year. Lol, honestly the ads were more stressful than the calm sounds. now i just sit in my garden or listen to birds from the porch. doesnt cost a dime and feels just as peaceful. maybe we just need quiet time without the fancy tech telling us how to breathe.

Quote from prouddove on July 18, 2020, 12:18 ami do the same thing. Honestly, spent months hating him for taking over all the chores and now i miss having company at dinner. its weird but true. the silence in my empty house is louder than our arguments ever were. just started cooking for two again out of habit then catching myself lol.

Quote from dorothy1994 on February 17, 2021, 11:55 pmfr though i see why you’re mad tbh. i turned twenty and he bought me those overpriced candles instead of the matcha kit i literally printed out and emailed him. i didn’t make a huge deal of it, but my internal monologue was screaming. it’s not the gift, it’s the fact that he keeps missing the small things that actually make me feel seen. ugh.

Quote from Evelyn1970 on August 11, 2021, 3:16 amHonestly same. Tbh, I gave up on all the fancy plans. Just walk after dinner with my husband and do squats while watching TV in Arabic. No gym, no protein shakes, no counting calories. My back hurts less and that is enough. We immigrants have enough stress without worrying about core strength tips. Keep it simple or go crazy.

Quote from Amy1978 on June 16, 2021, 11:41 pmhaha same energy. my hips are basically jelly right now after that hot yoga sesh. i just lie on the couch in a fetal position and scroll reddit until the ache goes away. zero zen achieved today. just pure regret and ibuprofen. honestly if anyone tries to talk mindfulness to me rn im gonna scream. send snacks not solutions.

Quote from Sweet1982 on November 22, 2021, 10:44 pmI stopped playing detective when he started requesting space. If he needs to breathe he can do it outside our home. I packed his favorite mug and moved it to the shelf. Then I ordered takeout and watched a movie without checking my phone every five minutes. Peace is expensive but cheaper than anxiety. Now he texts me asking if we are okay. I just sent a thumbs up emoji and went back to work.
