drinking coffee at 2pm again help
Quote from Oakiron on March 5, 2020, 9:04 amIt is 2:15 pm and I am standing in the aisle at Kroger staring at the coffee section. I have been divorced for eight months and I am trying to get back on track but my body feels like lead. I drank one small drip coffee at 10 am. It was only eleven dollars for a half gallon of the store brand milk and beans but it still costs money. My twelve, year, old son tracked mud into the living room again and I spent forty minutes scrubbing the carpet instead of taking a nap. Now I am shaking a little and my chest feels tight. I know I should be drinking herbal tea or water but I just want the caffeine kick to push through this afternoon slump. I have a yoga class at 4 pm that I paid for last week. I am afraid I will fall asleep on the mat or feel sick from the jitters. Does anyone else struggle with afternoon energy crashes while trying to rebuild a routine?

Quote from Farmhouse1971 on December 15, 2020, 4:28 amI stopped playing detective when he started requesting space. If he needs to breathe he can do it outside our home. I packed his favorite mug and moved it to the shelf. Then I ordered takeout and watched a movie without checking my phone every five minutes. Peace is expensive but cheaper than anxiety. Now he texts me asking if we are okay. I just sent a thumbs up emoji and went back to work.

Quote from Sagestruggle on November 6, 2020, 5:02 ami dont believe in auras but i know what burnout feels like. if you cant function through your day its exhaustion not a spiritual crisis. i took a mental health day this week just to sleep and eat real food. no screens. you need rest not a cleanse. drop whatever isnt urgent and go lie down. your body is screaming at you to stop. listen to it.

Quote from mudbay on January 24, 2020, 9:57 amit is 11 pm and the house is dead quiet. my husband fell asleep on the couch at 930 pm with the tv still on. i just did laundry for the fourth time this week because the kids spill juice everywhere. i went to target today for a $2 cereal box and spent $80 on stuff i do not need. now i am sitting here drinking rooibos tea but i cannot relax. the air feels heavy. why does my home feel so cold and empty when my whole family is literally in the other room? i tried lighting a candle from ulta but it did not help. i just feel so drained. is this normal or am i just crazy?

Quote from Teatime1980 on April 18, 2021, 6:28 pmHoney honestly at 54 i am just so done. Kids are grown and i got my garden to tend to so that clock just stopped for me. My husband thinks im cold but nah im just tired. We watch tv and hold hands most nights and that is perfectly fine. Dont let nobody make you feel bad about needing rest instead of racking the barn. Peace is good too.

Quote from Calm1998 on March 29, 2021, 7:54 pmrude af. i just laugh and walk away cause its not worth my energy. last week some guy tried to correct my grammar at a cafe. lol. i just stared at him til he got uncomfortable then left. dont let weird men dictate how you speak or behave. your accent is part of your story keep it proud. ignore the noise. stay strong sis.

Quote from Jessica1994 on October 31, 2021, 12:49 amSame. I feel like I’m running on fumes mostly. I’ve started drinking way more water and forcing myself to put my phone away an hour before bed. It helps a bit but honestly I think it’s just burnout from work and life in general. I’m not even that old yet but I definitely feel it in my bones lol.

Quote from Freemountain1998 on October 24, 2021, 8:18 pmgirl same. i thought it was just me. honestly tho its mostly hydration and protein. i drink like a gallon of water a day and eat a little something with protein right after i finish. before i was skipping the post workout snack and then i felt like death. try drinking more water chica. seriously. and don't starve yourself right after lifting. that’s my only fix.

Quote from Quietstorm2001 on September 25, 2021, 5:35 pmI just wear oversized hoodies everywhere. Ngl, Gym included. If they staring its their problem not mine. I focus on my playlist and ignore the mirrors completely. Sometimes I bring a big bag to cover the reflection too. Honestly why do men even look in mirrors while lifting? Weird. Just keep your head down and do your thing. Their business is none of mine.
