50 and my body feels like trash again ??
Quote from Petalparade on September 17, 2019, 8:42 amIt is 11:30 pm and my knees still hurt from standing at Publix for two hours. I am fifty this month and I feel like I am thirty again but the worst part. My back seized up while folding laundry for my son who is twenty two but still acts like a toddler. I bought that expensive cream at CVS for forty dollars and it did nothing but make me smell like lemons. I tried the yoga video on YouTube but I fell off the mat and hit my shin. Now my shin is bruised and my back is tighter. I drink my green juice and I eat my greens but nothing works. I just want to sleep without waking up stiff at 4 am. I work a full time job and I still clean my house on weekends. I am so tired of being tired. Is this just part of getting older or did I do something wrong in my thirties?

Quote from hoarrout on November 10, 2019, 7:51 amyeh frustration samajh sakti hoon. main bhi sochti thi kafi time tak. finally realize kiya ki protein intake bohot low tha. ab har meal mein meat ya eggs add karti hoon aur heavy lifting karungi, cardio se zyada strength training focus karti hoon. abhi 2 mahine huye hain par difference dekh rahi hoon. consistency hi key hai, chalo phir.

Quote from Sam1984 on April 24, 2019, 12:59 pmI stopped playing detective when he started requesting space. If he needs to breathe he can do it outside our home. I packed his favorite mug and moved it to the shelf. Then I ordered takeout and watched a movie without checking my phone every five minutes. Peace is expensive but cheaper than anxiety. Now he texts me asking if we are okay. I just sent a thumbs up emoji and went back to work.

Quote from GentleWave on August 7, 2019, 11:02 amYeah it’s the divorce fatigue. Lol, I’m 46 and honestly just wrecked. Spent all day sorting through mail and thinking about alimony payments instead of actually living. My knees hurt from walking the dog and my brain feels foggy all day. Just drank iced coffee but still feel heavy. Not sure if it’s grief or just old age kicking in early.

Quote from warmgarden1987 on September 14, 2020, 4:49 ami spent two hours at the elementary school today and honestly i just want to crawl into bed. Omg, the teachers were nice but they asked so many questions about his reading level. i feel like im failing already. drank three glasses of wine as soon as i got home. now watching tv and ignoring my work emails. same for you basically i think.

Quote from Chiffon on May 21, 2020, 4:01 amhonestly i just chuckle and say no thanks. i need a solid block of quiet to actually decompress. five minutes feels like a blink. sometimes he wants to talk though so i just say lets talk over dinner later. i force a little boundary without making it huge. my brain still feels foggy from grading so i really need that space. just be upfront about needing downtime.

Quote from Softlakeside1994 on November 18, 2020, 8:55 amHonestly I just sit on the bench with my coffee and watch. They can climb the whole structure without me. I tried running around too when they were little but my knees gave out. Now I just yell if they get stuck. My back hurts enough from carrying groceries. Let them be independent already. I need to rest, not play.

Quote from Cottonwall on March 16, 2020, 9:43 amI stopped swiping after two years because my thumb hurt more than my heart. Just dumped the apps last month. Started going to the feed store and talking to guys who buy grain. Met a nice fella last week, slow and steady. You dont need the dopamine hit. Real life is slower but better. Go touch grass instead.

Quote from raintriumph on October 5, 2020, 9:51 amUgh, yeah that's so annoying. I usually just put my headphones on super loud and pretend I don't see them. Sometimes I even make eye contact and just hold it till they look away lol. Works pretty good for me.
